The JV and Thirds teams are important pieces of the larger field hockey program. Girls who start on Thirds have the opportunity to move up to JV and Varsity and this has been a consistent pattern over the years. The lower level teams focus on developing the basic skills that provide the program with consistency as well as teaching girls what it means to be on a team at Taft. The results are field hockey players with strong foundations and the skills that make all of the teams stronger year after year. Both lower teams are often as competitive as the varsity and require a significant time commitment but always try to balance that competition with a high level of fun!
