Overview
Overview
The junior varsity volleyball team shares the same philosophy as the varsity team. The JV team prides itself on preparing its players to one day represent Taft on the varsity team. The program emphasizes the importance of fundamentals and skills as well as teamwork, discipline, and doing the little things right. Developing and instilling a love and passion for the game by creating a competitive and fun atmosphere is also a focus. Sportsmanship and respect for the opponent, fans, and officials is stressed.

About Head Coach Alexander Rivenburgh
Alex grew up in western Massachusetts and attended school at Boston University for his undergrad and UMass for both graduate degrees. He taught for five years at the Williston Northampton School and then for five years at the Virginia Episcopal school in Lynchburg, Virginia. He’s looking forward to getting back into New England. A fun fact, he’s been a mascot for BU and a minor league baseball team in Virginia.
