Rhinos Rise: Day of Giving Reaches New Heights
Debra Meyers

On April 28, the Taft community rose, rallied, and Rhino-crashed through our 2022 Day of Giving, smashing our current goals and making it our most successful Day of Giving ever.

"The enthusiasm, loyalty and altruism of the entire Taft community is inspiring. They say there is strength in numbers and the Taft community continues to prove that," says Director of Annual Giving and Constituent Relations Allison Lyman. "In addition to each and every donor, we are deeply grateful to all of the alumni and parent volunteers who worked so hard not only on this Day of Giving, but throughout the year to benefit Taft students."

In the end, 870 individual donors from nearly 40 states and over a dozen countries gifted our school with $808,416 during our seventh annual Day of Giving, surpassing our goal of 500 donors and $500,000 with their generosity. A community of 709 donors came together to grow our Annual Fund by $402,138; 161 current parents added another $406,277.

"Day of Giving gifts support the people and programs that make the Taft experience unique and special, from innovative classes, athletic teams, and the amazing resources in our library to our stunning campus and beloved arts programs," notes Joyce Romano '92, P'14, Director of Parent Giving. "We could not be more grateful for the incredible support shown during our 2022 Day of Giving."

The Class of 1997 topped the charts by raising $91,943. Eighteen percent of the Class of 2001 made gifts during the Day of Giving campaign, marking the highest participation percentage of any class. With 27, the Class of 2021 lead the individual donor tally.
