Alison joins Taft as a recent recipient of a M.S degree, summa cum laude, in marine biology from Northeastern University, where her research focused on restoring coastal habitats. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bates College. At Bates, she was a member of the women’s rowing team, competing in four consecutive NCAA national championships and earning bronze in 2007 and silver in 2009 and 2010. Previously, Alison taught biology and environmental science at The Gunnery, in addition to serving as the sustainability coordinator and crew coach. Alison will teach biology and AP Environmental Science, and will assist with the community service program and coach crew. She lives on HDT 2 with her golden retriever, Remy.
