Katelyn is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, where she earned a Master of Science degree in mathematics for certified secondary teachers and previously received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics, secondary mathematics education from the University of Hartford. At Hartford, Katelyn played shooting guard for the women’s basketball team and was recognized on the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll for the duration of her playing career. Off the court, Katelyn completed her student teaching and fieldwork at University High School of Science & Engineering and was also an assistant coach for the softball team. Katelyn has served as an instrumental role model within the community, volunteering with the Miracle League, Team Impact, Junior Achievement, and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. At Taft, Katelyn lives in Congdon and teaches mathematics. She is an assistant coach of the varsity girls’ basketball and JV girls’ lacrosse teams.
