Winston joins Taft after eleven years at Georgetown Day School in Washington, D.C., where he taught mathematics, AP Statistics, and AP Computer Science A. While at GDS, Winston was instrumental in expanding the curriculum to include post-AP offerings in differential equations, calculus-based probability and statistics, and data structures. Prior to his time in Washington, Winston was a member of the mathematics department at Episcopal Academy in Philadelphia, where he taught mathematics and coached boys’ and girls’ tennis. Working at Taft brings him back to familiar territory, having been a student at Northfield Mount Hermon School and a teacher during summer session at Phillips Academy. Winston is a reader for the AP Computer Science exam and has a passion for showing students all the possibilities that the field has to offer. At Taft, Winston teaches Computer Science, coaches ice hockey, and lives on HDT 4.
