MEd, University of Pennsylvania
Upon graduating from Smith College with a double major in French and Education/Child Studies in 2016, Collin taught French for two years at the Hopkins School in New Haven, Connecticut. During that time she completed a Master’s of Science in Education as part of the inaugural cohort day school fellows program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. Her final graduate portfolio, a culmination of year-long teacher inquiry-based research, explores how students acquire language through cultural contextualization of a course theme. While at Hopkins, Collin coached Junior School swimming and girls’ varsity waterpolo. At Taft, she teaches French, lives in USGD, and coaches girls cross country and skiing.
