Biography:

A native of Charleston, West Virginia, Lawrence is a graduate of The Hill School. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Latin American Studies from Denison University and has a Master’s of Science in Fundraising and Nonprofit Administration from Columbia University.

Before joining the Taft faculty, Lawrence assisted Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Boston University School of Medicine in managing and building relationships of philanthropic support to advance medical education, as well as clinical and research science and medicine. In Lawrence’s recent role he served as the Assistant Vice President, Medical Center Development at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

At Taft, Lawrence serves as the Chief Advancement Officer. The team’s mission within the Taft community is to be a partner in producing and fostering a culture of philanthropy that will provide the community with the resources to shape the lives of our next generation by educating the whole person, at the same time continue to evolve one of the finest secondary schools in the United States. Lawrence joins the Taft community with his wife, Amelia and their two children, Georgia and Caleb.
