A native of Ithaca, New York, Andy earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management, with a legal studies minor, from Ithaca College in 2005. During his undergraduate years, he interned with Cornell University and the Auburn Doubledays. He earned his master’s degree in sports management from West Virginia University in 2007. After graduating from WVU, Andy worked in the event management department for athletics at the University of Minnesota from 2007 to 2011. Andy comes to Taft from Yale University where he served from 2011-2021, most recently as senior associate athletic director for internal operations. At Yale, his oversight included varsity sports, scheduling, contest management, team travel, and NCAA compliance. He served as athletic liaison to Yale College and was a fellow in Ezra Stiles College where he was a first-year advisor. As director of athletics and afternoon program, Andy works to support Taft’s mission to educate the whole student through our robust list of extracurricular offerings including athletics, arts, student clubs, and community service. He is joined as a member of the Taft community by his wife, Danielle, and their three kids, Evelyn, Christopher, and Audrey.
