After Taft, Gaby graduated from Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in sociology and Latin American studies. Following her undergraduate studies, Gaby went on to work at Phillips Academy Andover Alumni Affairs. Inspired by the challenges and transitions she and her family had endured as an immigrant family from Honduras, Gaby later obtained a master's degree in social work from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. During her graduate studies, Gaby held clinical placements in a local high school and with the Latino team in the outpatient psychiatry department at Boston Children's Hospital. Gaby's career has included outpatient counseling in a community mental health agency, and then several years as a clinical social worker in pediatrics at Tufts Medical Center and Boston Children's Hospital. In 2015, Gaby moved to Connecticut with her husband and began working in the Neonatal ICU at Yale New Haven Hospital. In 2019, in addition to her hospital role, Gaby started a private practice in Milford, Connecticut. Gaby is thrilled to return to Taft and to support students and their families through their journey. She lives in Milford, Connecticut, with her husband, Greg, their daughter Winnie, and dog Lulu.
