Born, raised, and educated in New Haven, Connecticut, Kiana is a graduate of Yale College's Class of 2018. An ethnicity, race, and migration major, Kiana spent the last two years of her coursework focusing on the history of the Caribbean and the legacy of colonialism throughout the region. She began her teaching career at Forman in the fall of 2018, where she taught thinking and writing, and a variety of history courses on the Caribbean. She is excited to be joining the Taft community as a U.S. history and AP human geography teacher in the fall. She will also be coaching JV volleyball and varsity track.
