Maria is originally from Santiago, Chile, where she graduated as a lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2011. After working as a lawyer, she decided to change careers and move to the United States. Here, she got her master of arts in teaching from Central Connecticut State University in 2018. At Taft, Maria teaches different levels of Spanish. During her free time, she enjoys traveling, doing puzzles, and spending time with her family. Maria currently lives in Watertown with her husband, Jonathan, son, Jack, and daughter, Olivia.
