After twenty years in the corporate community in California and Connecticut, including twelve years as vice president of the Chittenden Insurance Group in Connecticut, Dutch began a twenty-year career in educational nonprofit advancement. During this time, Dutch led teams at Trinity College, Salisbury School, The Webb Schools, and Raymond Alf Museum of Paleontology in Claremont, California, and now serves as senior philanthropic advisor at Taft. Each institution initiated significant fundraising campaigns during Dutch's tenure. Dutch received his BA and MA from Trinity College and also studied for a year in the U.K. and also in Hong Kong with the Yale-China International Asian Studies Programme.
