Shannon comes to Taft after working at GCDS and Trinity-Pawling where she taught English and coached hockey. Shannon also just retired from professional ice hockey with the Connecticut Whale where she played 8 years. Shannon graduated from Boston University with a BA and EdM and played Division I ice hockey as well. Shannon grew up on Lake Simcoe in Canada and has lived in the US with her husband, Will Turner, ever since graduating in 2015 from BU. At Taft, she will be teaching mid and upper mid English.
