Yen-Lung began his education career teaching Chinese at the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies, which is administered by Stanford University on the National Taiwan University campus in Taipei, Taiwan. After coming to the United States and earning a master’s degree, he taught Chinese at Princeton University for six years. During that time, he also taught at Middlebury College’s Chinese Summer School. After Princeton, Yen-Lung taught Chinese at Wellesley College. He was appointed to the Taft faculty in 1985 to begin the Chinese language program. Apart from his school activities, Yen-Lung enjoys traveling in China and Taiwan.
