Karen specializes in educational assessment and reading strategies. She has participated in Harvard's Project Zero Program and many of Harvard's Learning Differences Conferences. She is a member of the International Mind, Brain and Education Society, The International Dyslexia Society, The Council on Exceptional Children, and the New England Association of Learning Specialists. In addition to her work at Taft, Karen has worked as a learning specialist privately and in the public school system as well as having served on Connecticut Regional District 15 Board of Education. She enjoys reading, the theater, cooking, and being a grandmother of four toddlers.
