Biography:

Sarah graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a minor in dance. She also has a master of fine arts in dance performance and teaching from Purchase College, where she received the MFA Award for Excellence. She has served on the faculties of Bates Dance Festival, The Hartt School Community Division, The New Haven Ballet, and The Limón Institute NYC. She has been a visiting professor at Bucknell University and an ABT® Certified Teacher of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. As a performer, Sarah toured extensively with Carolyn Dorfman Dance and with many other New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut-based companies for whom she was a featured dancer and stager and rehearsal director for many works. Several colleges and schools throughout the northeast have presented her choreography. At Taft, Sarah teaches dance, choreographs the musicals, and directs the dance ensemble. She lives in Vogelstein dormitory with her husband, Jim, daughter, Evelyn, and son, Jude.
