Since its founding in 1890, with a faculty of three and a student body that could fit around one table, Taft has been committed to educating the whole student. Today, Taft has grown to include 592 students from around the globe. It is a school that creates remarkable graduates capable of serving and leading in a complex and interconnected world.

Our ability to serve students, and by extension, the global community, is thanks to the tremendous generosity of the Taft community.

A Taft education begins with rigorous academics, but it is so much more. Learning takes place in almost every corner of our campus—in the classrooms, during community gatherings, on the playing fields and stages, in clubs and activities, and in one-on-one interactions between Taft students and faculty.

This year, Taft students will:

  • Participate in 110 student-run clubs
  • Serve the community through more than 60 partner organizations
  • Learn from a dedicated and experienced faculty supported by a robust professional development program
  • Engage with speakers from across the world on a variety of topics
  • Compete on 60 interscholastic athletic teams
  • Perform in six different theater or dance productions
  • Sing to audiences on campus and beyond
