Rhinos, get ready! Thursday, April 18, is our ninth annual Day of Giving—a day when Tafties come together to celebrate and support our incredible community of students, alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and friends.
“Last year’s Day of Giving was a resounding success, and we’re looking forward to maintaining that high level of energy for this year’s challenge,” says Melanie Panasci, Assistant Director of Annual Giving. “We love seeing so many community members come together to support Taft’s mission, and we’re so grateful for the enthusiasm and Rhino pride that everyone brings to the event.”
“Think of the many exciting pathways that our students follow during their time at Taft and as they head out into the larger world! That continuing story is supported by your contributions to Taft, and we truly appreciate the involvement of parents, grandparents, alumni, and everyone in the extended Taft community. Every contribution makes a difference,” adds Director of Parent Giving, Joyce Romano ’92, P’14.
Our challenge for 2024 will be to reach 1,000 individual donors or achieve a grand total of $700,000. If we reach either of these Day of Giving goals, we will unlock $125,000 from a generous alum who wishes to remain anonymous.
A gift of any size will go a long way toward helping us reach our Day of Giving goals and may be made at taftschool.org/give via credit card, Venmo (@Taft1890), or PayPal. Gifts can also be made by calling the Advancement Office at 800-959-8238.
In addition to our deep gratitude and the satisfaction of knowing that they are supporting all of the people, programs, and experiences that make a Taft education so extraordinary, Day of Giving donors making gifts of $5 or more will receive a Taft Rhino magnet frame. Displaying it on your fridge or filing cabinet is a great way to show off a favorite Taft photo along with your Big Red pride.
You can follow our Day of Giving progress on our giving site, track which class years are topping the giving charts, and see where our donors are checking in from across the globe.
All gifts received between April 2–18 will count toward Day of Giving totals. Let's come together and make this Day of Giving the best one yet!
Go Big RED!
