Taft's Fifth Annual Day of Giving: February 13, 2020
Show your love for Taft Thursday, February 13, during our fifth annual Day of Giving. We invite our full community of alumni, parents, family, and friends to join together in making gifts of any size during this 24-hour period to show your love and appreciation for Taft.
Again this year alumni classes will engage—by decade—in friendly gift-giving competition. The class with the highest participation in each decade will be honored with a commemorative plaque on a seat in Bingham Auditorium. Last year's winners are looking to retain their titles, while everyone else will be working to unseat them. Will the classes of 2014, 2000, 1991, 1984, 1970, 1969, 1954, and 1945 come out on top again?
"We are so grateful to the 764 individual donors who participated last year," says Annual Fund Director Kelsey Kerr P '07. "We hope to exceed that impressive number this year. But more importantly, we hope that we again have the broad support of alumni, current parents, and former parents on this Day of Giving that helps support Taft's Annual Fund."
Current Taft students will support the "show your love" initiative by making calls to alumni during an evening telethon on February 12.
"We hope our alumni will take those calls and hear the enthusiasm of our students as they ask for your support. This is a great opportunity for both alumni and students to share why they love Taft," says Kerr.
Director of Parent Giving Joyce Romano '92 P '14 hopes that Taft parents will also show their support on this important day.
"Taft parents are an extremely supportive and generous group," says Romano. "They are grateful to see their gifts at work, advancing the academic and extracurricular programs that are so important to their children."
