Honoring the Class of 2020

Honoring the Class of 2020
Debra Meyers

Please join us in honoring the Taft School Class of 2020 through our virtual commencement site. We've recreated some of the traditional Commencement Day highlights, including a welcome from the Headmaster, performances by Collegium Musicum, and a virtual commencement walk—bagpipers included—featuring photos of our graduating seniors.

While we wish we could all be together for this milestone event celebrating the personal and academic growth and achievements of the extraordinary Class of 2020, it simply could not be. We hope the site will give students and families a way to come together, recall special moments, and reflect on what Taft has meant in each of their lives. The site also includes a link to individual, downloadable photos of each graduate's brick on the beloved Taft brick walk, which serves to remind graduates of their deep and lasting place in the Taft community.

In the coming days, graduating seniors will also receive a gift box from Taft that includes their diploma, along with Taft memorabilia.

Time and again, but most exceptionally during the past few months, members of the Class of 2020 have proven themselves to be strong and resilient. They showed that they are leaders, innovators, and creative in their ability to embrace change, while leading and shaping the conversation around what it truly means to be a community. This is a class of strong character, exceptional values, and deep connection. They have proven beyond a doubt that they are more than prepared to not only take on the challenges they will face in the world beyond Taft's campus, but to embrace every moment of joy and celebration they will find along the way. Congratulations graduates!
