Alanna Fogarty '12 to Compete for Canada

Alana Fogarty ’12 is among 14 NextGen rowers selected by Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) to compete at the 2018 Pan American Qualification Regatta in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from November 28 – December 2nd. The next Pan American Games will be held in Lima, Peru, this summer. This event will be the first Pan American Games held in Peru, becoming the largest sporting event hosted by the country. 

Alanna represents the Ottawa Rowing Club/Vesper Rowing Club, and will compete in the both the women’s lightweight double and single sculls. She previously competed in the 2018 Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire (FISU) World University Championships.

RCA is a non-profit organization recognized by the Government of Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee, as the national governing body for the sport of rowing in Canada. RCA represents 15,000 registered members at all levels, novices, juniors, university students, seniors and masters, and people with disabilities, whether they row for recreation, health and fitness or competition.
