Powell was on Taft's 2016 Founders League Championship golf team and Taft's 2017 golf team, which won Founders League, the Andover Invitational, and the Western New England Invitational.

Drew Powell '17, now a sophomore at Brown University, won the Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge when Brown opened its 2018 golf season last week weekend. Powell was on Taft's 2016 Founders League Championship golf team and Taft's 2017 golf team, which won Founders League, the Andover Invitational, and the Western New England Invitational.

Playing for Brown at the Quechee Collegiate Challenge on September 23, Powell shot 69-71-140 to finish in a three-way tie for first place. In a four-way playoff, he sank a birdie on the first playoff hole to claim the individual title. Read about the Quechee Club Collegiate Challenge on the Brown Athletics website.

Powell was also named Male Student-Athlete of the Week at Brown during the week of September 24.
