Liz Barre ’19 set a personal record in the hurdles and high jump while competing in her first pentathlon; named Student-Athlete of the Week.

Congratulations to Liz Barre '19, who was recently named Student-Athlete of the Week at Carnegie Mellon University. During her first pentathlon, Liz set a personal record in the hurdles and high jump. The cumulative result: A new school record of 3,162 points for Carnegie Mellon and Student-Athlete of the Week accolades for Liz. Liz was a track team captain at Taft, and a key contributor to Taft's 2016 through 2019 consecutive Founders League Track Championships.⁠
