Headmaster Holiday!

Headmaster Holiday!
Anne Kowalski

Tafties will enjoy a day away from the classroom Tuesday, so says New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady, who announced the Headmaster Holiday on the big screen in Bingham Auditorium. Filmmaker, alumnus, and Taft parent Peter Berg '80, continued the beloved (and highly anticipated) tradition of producing a star-driven, fun-filled video to share the good news with the Taft community.

In this year's version, Berg tries to convince Brady to embed as a player in the Founders League. All of this, of course, leads to the delivery of the iconic catch phrase, "Mr. Mac, Shut it down!"

And shut it down, he has, with a nod to tradition.

"The Headmaster Holiday tradition goes back decades," says Headmaster Willy MacMullen '78, "actually to President Taft's inauguration. It's a lot of fun, and a great break for tired, hard-working students and faculty—and we are so lucky to have an alumnus like Pete Berg who loves the school and has a great sense of fun!"

Enjoy, Rhinos!
