Non ut Sibi: Community Service Day 2018

Non ut Sibi: Community Service Day 2018
Anne Kowalski

The Taft School motto—Not to be served, but to serve—is an underlying principle that both drives school life and shapes the hearts and minds of Taft students. Since 1995, the entire school community has paused for one day each fall to celebrate that principle, and to serve as one. Community Service Day represents more than a school tradition, it is the embodiment of our core values.

On October 25, Tafties spread out across New Haven and Litchfield counties to support the important work being done by organizations whose impact is truly changing lives across their communities. From schools and environmental groups to local and national nonprofits, our Community Service Day partners affect meaningful change at every level, and we are proud to support them.
