Tune In! Taft's Fall Show: It's A Wonderful Life
Debra Meyers

They say the show must go on, and indeed, it will. Taft theater students will take the stage in Bingham auditorium this weekend in front of a live (but limited) audience, while family, fans, and friends are invited to tune in from across the globe. Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 pm Eastern, and Sunday, November 15 at 3 pm.

Tafties will perform It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, a safe, socially-distanced, and creative twist on the classic Frank Capra holiday film. While it will feel different, the story of a despair that gives way to redemption with the help of angels, and a little holiday magic. In this telling, it is Christmas Eve, 1946, and a group of actors actors have gathered in a radio studio for a live, recreating Bedford Falls, George Bailey, and the life-affirming story that is It’s a Wonderful Life.

“We’ve been working hard in Bingham, in the dance studio, and over Zoom to master all the various voices and characters that the students will play,” said Director Helena Fifer in a message to the Taft community. “We’ve also been fortunate to work with Lauren Tom who is a professional actor and Taft parent. It’s going to be great!”

Performances are Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 pm Eastern, and Sunday, November 15 at 3 pm. Follow the directions below to tune in remotely.
