Where are you from?
I am from Wayne, Pennsylvania.
What kinds of things have you been involved in during your time at Taft?
I have been on the varsity squash, field hockey, and lacrosse teams for all three years that I have been at Taft and am captain for each of these three teams this year! I am also an upper school dorm monitor in Centennial and a school monitor.
What is/was your favorite class (or classes) at Taft, and why?
My favorite class at Taft is Psychology with Mrs. Chandler. It is fascinating to learn about human behavior and is also applicable to my everyday life. The class fosters collaboration and curiosity; every student eager to learn more and share their different perspectives.
What is your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is the Jig*! I visit the Jig frequently throughout the day and it's the perfect place to enjoy free periods with friends and eat breakfast. [*The Jig is Taft’s student union, snack bar, and gathering spot.]
What has been your most memorable Taft moment?
My most memorable Taft moment was winning the NEPSAC tournament in field hockey my junior year. It was such a special moment for the team and one that I will never forget.
What is one piece of advice you’d give new or prospective Taft students?
One piece of advice I would give new or prospective Taft students is to get involved in activities or teams that interest you early on in your Taft career. It's a great way to meet new people and fully take advantage of what Taft has to offer. I would also push new students to go to the fun events planned each weekend. Whether that be dances or night games, they are special moments that can make your Taft experience much more memorable.
