Meet Minori
Minori representing Japan at WorldFest 2020.

Where are you from?

I am from Tokyo, Japan.

What activities do you participate in at Taft?

At Taft, I am on the community service board and have participated in other community groups such as GLI, monitorship, and the Asian Affinity Group.

What are your favorite Taft classes?

My favorite classes at Taft have been my AP and post AP Chemistry classes with Mr. Hostage. He always finds a way to make learning difficult subjects fun.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus is definitely Jig Patio—it feels like the entire school gathers around the pond to socialize and bond with the community!

What is your most memorable Taft moment?

One of my most memorable Taft moments is coming back to campus after a long summer to reunite with the campus and with my friends.

What does it mean to be a Rhino?

To be a Rhino is to be a part of something that is way greater than yourself. Taft has taught me the importance of community, diversity, and coexistence. The kindness of the students and faculty make this process that much easier.
