Meet Tim

Where are you from?

I am from New York City, but I grew up out on Long Island.

What activities do you participate in at Taft?

I'm a part of the Community Service Board, a member of the crew team, a dorm monitor, and a member of the Admissions Council.

What are your favorite classes at Taft?

So far, my favorite classes at Taft have been Honors Seminar Bio with Mr. McAloon and Intermediate Photography with Mr. Yin. Both of these classes are hands-on and allowed me to explore things that truly interest me. They’re both classes that I looked forward to going to each and every day.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot on campus would have to be the Jig Patio. It's one of my favorite places to work during the class day when the weather is nice; so many of my favorite memories with friends have also taken place on Jig Patio.

What is your most memorable Taft moment?

My most memorable Taft moment was sitting on the Bingham balcony my freshman year watching the Headmaster Holiday announcement. It was amazing to feel the energy and excitement sparked in the room when the announcement was made. Not to mention, it was just great to get a day off of classes.

What does it mean to be a Rhino?

To be a Rhino means you embody the spirit of the school, whether that means upholding the motto and serving the community or cheering for your friends on Hotchkiss Day.
